Gratuitous Hedgehog Photo
LL tells me that one thing missing from Saturday's story about Austin garden bloggers in the Statesman was a gratuitous hedgehog photo, with word about what good natural gardeners hedgehogs are. I can't speak for hedgehogs and gardening, but I offered her a gratuitous hedgehog photo even so...
This is Auggie Hedgehog, and he likes worms.
Addendum: Auggie doesn't live with me. He lives with LL. Sometimes he hides out in her purse while she socializes...

Vivé — Is this a hedgehog who actually lives at your house? I love a hedgehog. Can I come visit?
Some years back, when we were visiting family in London, they had a hedgehog who routinely visited their backyard (they had a lovely garden near Hampstead Heath so maybe he or she came from the Heath). I never got that close but he was quite a cute creature (as is Auggie).
